On Janaury 24th, Yahoo Sport in France reported that Juventus’ Mehdi Benatia has snubbed Arsenal and Fulham and is expected to join an unnamed Qatari club.

As the Morocco international is set to leave the Turin side, the Serie A winners are in the market to find a replacement for him.

Andreas Christensen of Chelsea has been identified as a target by the Old Lady, if a report from Tutto Mercato Web is to be believed.

Massimiliano Allegri’s club were in hope of taking the Denmark international on loan until the end of the season, either on a dry loan or with a right of redemption.

However, Chelsea seems to be not interested in the proposal made by Juventus, which is why the Blues have said ‘no’ to the Italian champions.

After playing the full 90 minutes in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham, Maurizio Sarri excluded Christensen from Chelsea’s squad to face Spurs on Wednesday.

Christensen has made only one start in the Premier League and had earlier admitted that he could leave Stamford Bridge in January, if he doesn’t have regular playing time at Chelsea.
