Davinson Sánchez came off the bench in Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw against Brentford last weekend. His contract expires in 2024 and his future at the north London club still remains uncertain.
Earlier on Thursday, Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis stated the 27-year-old has been offered to numerous clubs since January, including AS Monaco.
L’Equipe now state several Ligue 1 sides are keen to sign the Tottenham defender this summer.
Among these, Monaco are the one to have been ‘most insistent’ in the transfer race and have shown strong interest in the centre-back.
They have already strengthened their defence by adding Mohammed Salisu to their squad and are looking for another centre-back. This is where the former Ajax man fits in.
The principality club haven’t made an offer yet but the report states it’s just ‘a matter of time’. It’s claimed Monaco are expected to send an offer to Tottenham for the Colombia international in the ‘coming days’.
L’Equipe doesn’t specify the fee they are planning to offer for Sánchez. However, they do state Galatasaray [€10m offer] and Spartak Moscow [€15m including bonuses] have so far failed to sign the South American.
