Well on their way to winning the Serie A title, Napoli have been planning next year’s squad for some time now, and one of the sacrifices appears to be Hirving Lozano.
The Mexican is apparently being offered around by his agency, and that would leave the door open for a new right winger, which is where Wolverhampton Wanderers come in.
This is because Wolves have one that so happens to be nearing the end of his contract in Adama Traoré, whose availability is brought back up by Sport Italia, relayed by Area Napoli.
The Italian outlet look at what the future could hold for a few Napoli players, including the Mexico international, who is described as being on his way to a ‘potential farewell’.
To take over, the Italians ‘would have identified’ the Wolves forward, whose deal at Molineux expires at the end of the season.
It makes a lot of sense, since Napoli could sell Lozano for a handsome fee if they find a buyer, all the while replacing him with someone who essentially does the same thing without paying a transfer fee.
This is a story that has been around for a while, and refuses to go away, meaning there is likely to be something there, since there is rarely this much smoke without a fire somewhere.
