Earlier today, Sky Italia reported Fiorentina are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Bryan Gil in January. It was also stated the north London club have shown openness to evaluate the offers they’ll receive for him.
Corriere dello Sport back up the Serie A side’s interest in the Tottenham player and also share the club’s for a potential deal this month.
La Viola are working on signing Hellas Verona’s Cyril Ngonge and saw an €8m offer rejected on Monday. They could try again by improving that offer by at least €3-4m.
Josip Brekalo is expected to leave Fiorentina in the winter market and they could make a move for another winger, to provide manager Vincenzo Italiano with more options in attack. The newspaper states the Italian club are focusing on Gil.
It’s claimed ‘contacts initiated’ by Fiorentina, without specifying whether that’s with Spurs, the 22-year-old’s camp or both. He could be an option for Fiorentina, more so if the deal for Ngonge doesn’t take shape.
Corriere haven’t mentioned if Fiorentina are looking to sign the Spaniard on loan or buy him from Tottenham.
Gil has been restricted to only two league starts under Ange Postecoglou this season and a move, even if it’s on loan, away from Tottenham could help him enjoy more game time.
