It really doesn’t look like Napoli will be able to sign Max Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.
Even though the Serie A side are said to be very interested in the transfer, they seem to be having a hard time matching Wolves’ request. That was said on Friday by journalist Giovanni Scotto, claiming the Molineux club rejected a €30m offer and were about to give the player a new contract.
Now as Gazzetta Dello Sport writes about the situation today, they also describe how difficult the task is.
As the newspaper speaks about Napoli’s hunt for new signings, it’s claimed that the chase for Kilman is ‘more complicated’ than the others.
That’s because Wolves don’t want to give up on their €40m request for his sale. So the Italian club now depend on ‘diversions or real manoeuvres’ to make that signing possible.
In case it’s true that Wolves are about to agree a new contract with him, it indeed looks like there’s no reason to negotiate the defender’s exit this summer. And Napoli don’t seem eager to make a big offer to change their minds.
