With Inter Milan now under management of Oaktree Capital Management, the local media are wondering about the club’s transfer policy from the new owners.
There are a few young talents in the Nerazzurri’s squad which draw big interest from abroad, and that’s the case of Nicolo Barella, who’s reportedly wanted by Manchester City.
InterLive today features a story highlighting that the player many times rejected a move from Inter Milan, where he has great influence in the squad. However, some tempting offers could show up soon, and the new owners might see that as a chance for a big profit.
Manchester City are seen as the most interested sides, as Pep Guardiola is a ‘great admirer’ of the player and the English club ‘could easily offer around €80m’.
In case that type of bid arrives at Inter Milan, it’s now said that Oaktree could ask the management to take it ‘immediately’.
The change of ownership could then be a summer boost for Manchester City, who’ve been linked to Barella for a while now.
