Real Sociedad are showing interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Gonçalo Guedes.
On Tuesday, Record and AS reported the 28-year-old has already completed medical tests with the La Liga club. Record even said the two parties have an agreement in place and sorting out details.
El Diario Vasco reported that La Real have contacted Wolves but made no mention of his medical.
Wednesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports Real Sociedad’s leaders haven’t publicly made any indication of their desire to sign a winger. Their priority has been to sign a striker and they’re looking for a profile that’s different to that of Guedes’.
Taking this into account, Mundo say the Spanish club’s decision to move forward to sign the Wolves player has ‘come as a bit of a surprise’.
It’s claimed Real Sociedad are making ‘progress in their negotiations’.
Noticias de Gipuzkoa relay Record’s claim and then provide their own updates on La Real’s pursuit of the Portugal international.
Guedes contract expires in 2027, and Wolves aim to sell him, which makes the operation complicated for Real Sociedad. His salary would also be another factor that the La Liga club have to sort out, if they were to buy him.
