Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries ‘enjoys so much popularity’ in England that Chelsea have ‘circled his name in red’, according to FcInterNews.

The Blues are looking to strengthen their right-back/right wing-back position this summer.

It’s said the 26-year-old would be sold only if there is an ‘indispensable offer’ of no less than €35m. If a proposal in this region were to arrive, it is clear the Nerazzurri should cash in on Dumfries and find a replacement for him in the market.

At the weekend, reports from England said Chelsea have a firm interest in the Netherlands international. Calciomercato relay this claim and provide their own take on this case.

The west London club asked about the former PSV Eindhoven man during their talks with Inter over a loan deal for Romelu Lukaku. Thomas Tuchel’s side had cooled their interest in the player, but have now returned for the Dutchman.

Chelsea have already made their first offer, but it was rejected by Inter. The report explains it is not excluded the proposal will be raised by the Blues. If that happens, then Simone Inzaghi’s side would ‘falter’.

Like FcInterNews, Calciomercato also explain Inter will not sell the wing-back for less than €35m. If Chelsea were to make an offer in this region, then they could sign Dumfries this summer.
