It’s fair to say that Juventus’ season hasn’t exactly gone to plan to date, but they are working hard to try and improve things, and that could come with a few more transfer in and out.
One of the more talked about is their interest in Sergej Milinković-Savić, who is currently at Lazio, but they need money for that, which is where Tottenham could help them out.
Spurs already have money to send over to the Turin club because of the Dejan Kulusevski deal, and have already paid a fair chunk after signing Rodrigo Bentancur last January, but we could see more funds exchanging bank accounts for Weston McKennie.
The USA international, currently at the World Cup, has been a target for Tottenham for some time, with Fabio Paratici a fan of the player, and Antonio Conte allegedly keen to work with him.
Calciomercato have an article regarding Juventus’ interest in Milinković-Savić, as they name the Serbian the club’s ‘big objective’ for the 2023 summer.
For that to happen, however, they need to ‘make room’ for him, which they will do by first cancelling the clause to buy Leandro Paredes from Paris Saint-Germain.
After that, however, ‘the real big goal is to sell McKennie for €25-30m’, and that’s something the club are ‘working towards’.
This is exactly what Paratici will want to hear as the pursuit from Tottenham for the American seemingly continues.
