Last week, a story emerged from Turkey that Fenerbahce were trying to sign Ryan Kent from Rangers, where his contract to work with Michael Beale expires at the end of May.
He could still renew, but with less than a month to go, a free transfer away from Ibrox is looking more likely, and that’s why the Turkish side are trying to sign him.
This comes courtesy of Takvim, who state that Fenerbahce have indeed put the Rangers star ‘on their transfer list’ to bolster the left hand side of their attack.
In fact, they have already offered him a three-year contract with the option for an extra season, and they are ‘working hard’ to get this done before the end of the campaign.
Kent arrived from Liverpool back in 2019 in a €7.2m transfer deal and quickly became an important part of Rangers over the years, scoring 33 goals and assisting another 57 in 218 appearances.
His time under Michael Beale has also been successful, as he has three goals and 10 assists in his 44 games for the club this season.
That’s why this is an opportunity Fenerbahce can’t seemingly pass up, as the idea of acquiring the Rangers star could really help them achieve their goals under Jorge Jesus.
