AS Roma are set to accelerate in their pursuit of West Ham United striker Gianlucca Scamacca, according to reports from Italy.
Outlet CalcioMercato.it today writes that the striker ‘continues to wait’ for the Giallorossi to make their new move for his transfer.
It’s now claimed that new contacts between Roma and West Ham are expected to take place this week, with the clubs trying to find an agreement on the formula.
Scamacca is supposed to join the Giallorossi on a loan deal, and according to the report, it’s the option for a permanent deal that has to be agreed now.
Roma reportedly want the clause to be a right for a purchase, while West Ham would rather guarantee an obligation, as they don’t want him back in London.
As for Scamacca, the report claims the player has already ‘given his word’ to the Italian club and is ‘not listening to other offers’, as he’s pretty much committed to the move.
It’s seems there’s little left for the deal to be done, with the report not mentioning the price this time, bit with it made clear that despite Alvaro Morata also being an option, the favourite in Tiago Pinto’s eyes remains the West Ham flop.
