Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are the two options for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva in the summer, according to Le10 Sport.
The two clubs were keen to sign the 28-year-old last summer and are still active options for the next window.
PSG advisor Luis Campos knows the Manchester City star from his time at AS Monaco and the latter has kept a ‘very strong bond’ with Campos since he joined the Citizens in 2017.
The 28-year-old also played with Kylian Mbappé at Monaco. The Frenchman and Campos have been working on the Manchester City player’s arrival at PSG for almost a year. Pep Guardiola’s side ‘vetoed’ his transfer last summer.
Mbappé wants to reunite with the attacking midfielder in Paris and the Ligue 1 winners will do ‘everything possible’ to get the deal over the line. PSG have taken steps to make their intention known, without making it clear if that contact is with Manchester City or his agent, Jorge Mendes.
The Portuguese international was keen to leave the Etihad in 2022 and it’s said he has the same stance for the next window. If he wasn’t ‘insistent’ last summer, he could be ‘much more so’ in the coming months because his desire to join a new club has grown.
Silva dreams of joining Barca but their financial situation won’t allow them to carry out the operation. PSG are the only club who could offer better conditions than Manchester City.
A move to PSG would see him get a better deal. In addition to this, the sporting project proposed by them ‘seduces’ Silva.
