On Wednesday, Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari stated Nottingham Forest’s interest in Jaka Bijol is ‘heating up’. He also reported the Premier League side have made contact to sign the Udinese player this summer.
Nottingham Forest’s interest in the defender is backed up by Messaggero Veneto, who then provide more on this case.
It’s claimed the Reds and VfB Stuttgart are the latest to have approached the Serie A side for the 25-year-old.
Bologna, Atalanta and VfL Wolfsburg have already shown interest in the player, and they are joined by both Nottingham Forest and the Bundesliga side race to secure his services
Udinese are well aware of Nottingham Forest and other clubs queuing up to sign the Slovenia international. The report adds they have set a €17m asking price and have also started searching the market for the centre-back’s replacement.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side would have to tussle with others to sign the player who starred for his national team at the Euros. It isn’t clear if Bijol would favour a move to Nottingham Forest.
Bijol’s contract lasts until 2027, and made 24 league appearances for Udinese last season.
