It appears that Torino are playing hardball with West Ham United when it comes to the definitive purchase of Nikola Vlasic.
While a €13m option to buy was agreed on when the loan deal was initially struck, the Serie A side, as might have been expected, don’t want to pay that much and are trying to reduce that fee by quite a lot.
This comes from Torino Granata, who look at the current situation involving West Ham and their Italian counterparts on Tuesday.
They state that Torino ‘would like’ Wet Ham to ‘be satisfied’ with a fee of €8m for the Croatian midfielder, knowing full well that David Moyes doesn’t want him back in his squad next season.
The belief is that the Serie A side ‘should redeem’ the player ‘by Saturday’ and then will have about 10 days to do the same with Aleksej Miranchuk from Atalanta.
However, while this plan might work in their head, they also know that Premier League clubs can be stubborn, as Leicester City were last year when it came to Dennis Praet, forcing the Belgian to eventually return to the King Power Stadium for a frustrating year.
Therefore, they are hoping that West Ham, who don’t want Vlasic around, will accept the reduced fee and agree to be rid of him once and for all.
