Pierre-Emile Højbjerg no longer has a prominent role at Tottenham Hotspur after being a regular for them in the last three seasons.
The midfielder has been restricted to 79 minutes from five league games this season as new manager Ange Postecoglou has favoured others ahead of him.
Juventus could open a door for the 28-year-old to leave Tottenham in January, as per today’s Corriere della Sera.
At the weekend, the Serie A side suffered a 4-2 defeat against Sassuolo, and the displays of Juve midfielders, plus the loss of Paul Pogba, has convinced them to look for a new player in the next window.
This is where the Denmark international would fit in and the Old Lady had already looked at him in the last window, when they made contact over an exchange deal with Arthur Melo.
OGC Nice’s Khéphren Thuram is also on the Turin club’s target list but the report states the Tottenham player is better suited as they want him for his ‘essence of personality’.
Højbjerg has a deal lasting until 2025 and the Italian club are looking for a move in January. It’ll be down to Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli to try and agree a transfer with Tottenham.
