James Rodríguez has publicly ruled out a return to Real Madrid, but has refused to dismiss the possibility of leaving Everton before the window closes on August 31st.
The 30-year-old joined the Toffees last summer when Carlo Ancelotti was in charge at the club, and Rafael Benítez’s arrival has resulted in the recent exit rumours.
On Thursday, we carried a report from Corriere dello Sport, who explained the attacking midfielder offered ‘himself’ to AC Milan, but they discarded the option to sign him.
According to the website, the Merseyside club want to cut ties with the player this summer because Benítez isn’t planning to bet on him next season. Everton would be ‘satisfied with an offer of around €15m’ for the South American.
It’s said Milan ‘want to close’ the deal for Rodríguez by ‘taking advantage’ of the English club’s desire to not hold him back.
