Sheffield United striker Iliman Ndiaye is drawing the interest from France, according to local reports.
Outlet Foot Mercato today features a story saying Olympique Marseille ‘want to recruit’ the 23-year-old’s this summer.
It’s claimed the chase is on to get the Sheffield United star, as the ‘first exchanges’ have already taken place.
Ndiaye is said to be ‘receptive, attentive and interested’ in making the move to Marseille, especially because he has a ‘strong love’ for them, having spent four years at the club between 2010-14.
The talks are said to be going on between the ‘various parties’, even though it isn’t said how much the French club should offer for the signing. It’s claimed that the Blades’ request is still to be known as well.
It’s highlighted that Premier League clubs are also interested in signing Ndiaye this summer, but considering the way they highlight how ‘excited’ the player is about moving to Marseille, it pretty much sounds like he’s made his mind up.
Featuring for Sheffield United last season, the striker had 15 goals and 12 assists in 52 matches. His contract runs until 2024, and he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €18m.
