The Italian media today shows up with a quite interesting rumour involving Juventus and Arsenal.
The information comes from market intermediary Michele Fratini, who was a guest at Rai Sport.
Quoted by TuttoJuve, the agent claims that Juventus are interested in Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino, who’s currently out on loan at Swansea City.
“The two names for Juventus’ midfield are Phillips from Manchester City who is a more physical player than Patino from Arsenal, he’s a Davids, he’s physical and good at counterattacks. The other is Patino because Juventus lacks quality and if they were to sign Colpani, who is an attacking midfielder they would lower him like Inter did with Calhanoglu.”
The intermediary then claimed that to make Patino cheaper, they would include Moise Kean in the operation.
“Today it’s a Juve without quality and they can take Patino easily because Juventus have four attackers and Kean would be included in the negotiation.”
Kean obviously has some Premier League experience following his time at Everton, although it wasn’t exactly impressive. He joined Juventus in 2021, and was purchased for €30m.
The striker has 12 appearances for the Old Lady this season, but hasn’t been able to score any goals, and it’s no wonder why the Bianconeri would try to include him in some other deal.
Regarding Patino, the midfielder has been doing well at Swansea City with three goals and four assists in 15 Championship appearances so far.
If Juventus really want him in January, they would need to see how to make that operation possible, as he’s loaned until the end of the season.
