According to Besiktas journalist Safak Malatya, as covered by Turkish news website Diyagonal, Besiktas are making moves for Arsenal attacker Reiss Nelson.
Malatya claims Besiktas have reached an agreement with former Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, and during talks with his agents, they have reportedly said they are also keen on Nelson.
It’s reported Besiktas are looking for a helping hand from Elite Project Group with regards to signing the Arsenal youngster. The Turkish side are looking to bring in a wide attacker this summer and Nelson looks to be an option at this stage of the window.
The 20 year old English winger, who spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Bundesliga club Hoffenheim, made 17 Premier League appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side last season, scoring one goal.
Malatya claims Besiktas want to loan the player for one year and talks are likely to continue.
Nelson’s contract with the Gunners will expire at the end of June 2023.
