Fortuna Düsseldorf want to end Watford youngster Kwado Baah’s loan deal at the club early and send him back to Vicarage Road in January.
That’s according to BILD, who say the German side need Watford ‘to play along’ if they are to get right of the German U20 international next month.
Baah has been with the 2. Bundesliga club since the summer, when he moved on loan for the season in search of regular playing time that wasn’t on offer with Watford.
The 19-year-old hasn’t found that, though, failing to make a single start in the league this season and featuring in just 5% of the available minutes.
Several reports have made it clear that Düsseldorf were thinking of cancelling the loan deal with Watford early, with the last report stating that they had ‘given up hope’ of Baah becoming a success.
It seems that is very much the case, with BILD reporting that they ‘want to end’ Baah’s loan deal early, sending him back to Watford so they can ‘free up some more money’ and strengthen in the January transfer window.
For that to happen, though, Baah and Watford ‘have to play along’ and agree to an early termination of the deal.
The belief is that could happen as both Watford and Baah know that the youngster has to be playing regularly if his development is not to be harmed.
The two clubs, and indeed the player, are yet to reach an agreement however and he will be back at Fortuna on January 2nd.
