It seems FC Porto aren’t expecting any immediate bids from Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers for David Carmo.
In the past few days, the Portuguese media claimed the Foxes and Wolves are genuinely interested in the centre-back, who’s just returning from a loan at Olympiacos.
Now as A Bola has a fresh story on the situation, they already start to admit that Porto may have Carmo in their pre-season squad if they don’t get good bids for him.
Olympiacos have a €18m buying option, but are trying to keep him for less than that. For the first time, it’s now said that this would be the same price tag for other interested sides.
Leicester City and Wolves are again mentioned, with A Bola saying they made approaches, but those possibilities are only expected to become real ‘later’ in the market.
Porto are not very interested in having Carmo back for next season, as they have other plans for their squad and would use his sale to pay for some new signings.
That means Leicester City and Wolves actually have a good chance to land him, but they need to make their moves.
