Once a key player at West Ham United, Manuel Lanzini has seen his time on the pitch reduced drastically this season, which could lead to an exit this summer.
The 30-year-old may have 1004 minutes of game time, but most of those have been in the Conference League, leaving his number of appearances in the Premier League at seven, totalling 144 minutes.
That isn’t what the West Ham midfielder will have wanted, and despite having a two-year extension clause in his contract at London Stadium, it could be best for all parties to break ties.
This is something River Plate are hoping for, with it claimed by Fichajes that they are planning to repatriate three Argentines in the summer if they can.
West Ham’s Lanzini is one of those, with it said that he, Nicolás Otamendi and Ramiro Funes Mori could be signed by the Argentinian club.
This would be a ‘return home’ for the midfielder, who last played in his country for River Plate back in 2014, before he was signed by Al-Jazira, which eventually led to his move to West Ham a year later.
