Back in the summer window, Nottingham Forest found a deal with Corinthians for the transfer of Murillo.
The signing, including bonuses, could reach €15m, but the Reds have only paid a first instalment of €5m so far, leaving other payments for March and December 2024.
According to ESPN Brasil, as Corinthians are in need of money, they’re working to forward the amount that will come from Nottingham Forest.
It’s said Corinthians already got in touch with Nottingham Forest for that operation, and the Tricky Trees are providing the needed signatures for it.
The plan is reportedly being finalised now, and Corinthians will use the money to settle debts with some players, including Matias Rojas, who’s threatening to rescind his contract.
Since joining Nottingham Forest, Murillo soon got a place in the team and has been a starter since then. He has 13 starts in the Premier League, and is protected by a contract until 2028.
