Spanish side Cádiz CF have ruled out the signing of Juan Larios from Southampton this summer, despite reports of their interest.
Portal Cadista report information from El Pelotazo on Canal Sur Radio today. It appears the Spanish side have walked away from signing the 22-year-old from Southampton.

The website explains that Juan Larios had been linked with Cádiz this summer as it’s well known that the Spanish side need a new left-back.
He was seen as a viable option given; he’s a product of Sevilla, Barcelona and Manchester City’s youth set up and has international international experience with Spain’s youth teams.
Last season he was on loan at Cultural Leonesa and has spent the second half of this season with Real Zaragoza.
But Cádiz have decided against a move for him. According to El Pelotazo, their sporting director is considering other options for the left-back spot this summer.
That comes just a few days after the initial reports that he was a name on the Spanish side’s list. Instead, it seems they want it known that he’s not, and he’s unlikely to be any time soon either.
Instead, he was a name that was put forward and dismissed. Cádiz have decided that they ‘will not proceed’ down that particular path.
Summer decision needed
For the 22-year-old, it means a return to Southampton this summer to determine his long-term future. He’s been with them since joining for €7m in 2022 but has only made six appearances in the first team, spending the last two years out on loan.
His current deal runs until 2027, though, meaning a decision has to be made this summer. This is the last summer window in which Southampton can make any fee. He will be free to discuss terms with clubs over a free transfer next summer from January afterall.
The Saints would, presumably, prefer to avoid such a scenario. Although they face a loss either way given, he’s now valued at around €1.5m. Either way, Cádiz CF aren’t interested.
