Despite Bologna’s attempts, Logan Costa remains a Toulouse player.
The situation has carried on without the Rossoblu reaching any agreement for the defender.
The race for Bologna has been hampered by supposed Premier League interest, with Newcastle United still linked to the 23-year-old.
Il Resto del Carlino, as relayed by TuttoBolognaWeb, have reported that Bologna’s talks have reached a ‘permanent stalemate’ for the defender after Newcastle made what has been described as a ‘survey’ for the Cape Verde man.
As of now, Toulouse are aiming to earn a high figure from Costa’s exit and that is why interest from Newcastle is spoken about.
It isn’t known whether the Magpies will ‘sink the blow’ for Costa after their initial survey and Toulouse are ‘waiting to understand’ how the situation develops.
The French club would like a fee that is between €20m and €25m for Costa and Bologna can’t afford to pay that. Their hope is that Newcastle United interest is genuine.
