On Tuesday, we relayed news from Italy that a deal involving Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku and Juventus’ Dušan Vlahović has ‘come to life’.

Calciomercato state the Serie A side are keen to sign the 30-year-old but will have to sell Vlahović first.

Chelsea is seen as the ideal solution for the 23-year-old Serbian. It’s said his agent, Darko Ristić, already held talks with the Blues in January and maintained contact with them in the following months.

The Premier League side are in the market for a striker and the report states the former Fiorentina man would be useful for Mauricio Pochettino.

Juventus are in talks with Chelsea over a deal involving the duo but an agreement is still missing between the two clubs.

The Old Lady value their player at €90m and could go down to €70m plus €10m bonuses. Meanwhile, Chelsea value Lukaku at €40m and don’t intend to pay €80m for Vlahović.

Calciomercato say the west London club’s ‘clear will’ is to stay around €55-60m. This can help Juve to avoid a capital loss while also refusing to meet an ‘indispensable’ request of Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli for Vlahović.

For now, there is distance in valuation but the ‘dialogues have begun’ between the two clubs.

Sky Italia say Lukaku has found an agreement with Juventus for a three-year deal with an option for another year.

It’s claimed the operation involving the Belgian and Serbian is ‘becoming more and more lively’ and ‘new contacts are expected shortly’. The two clubs are ‘now working to find an agreement on the economic balance’ for the exchange deal to take shape.

Juve value Vlahović at €40m more than Lukaku and intermediaries involved in the operation need to work to get the position of the two clubs closer.

Sky add the Turin club don’t have to sell Vlahović while the Premier League side consider Lukaku ‘redundant’. Therefore, Juve are ‘waiting for a strong move’ from Chelsea to carry out the deal involving the two players.
