Eintracht Frankfurt are ‘waiting for the green light’ to start negotiations with Newcastle United over William Osula.

That’s according to BILD. They report that while sporting director Markus Krösche has ‘already reached a verbal agreement’ with the 22-year-old, Newcastle are yet to open the door to the deal.

Eintracht are waiting for the green light from them to begin negotiations. The belief is that this could take some time.

The German side want to sign at least two attackers in January and Osula has been on their list for some time. They were close to getting a deal done at the end of the summer transfer window. Newcastle’s owners cancelled the deal on deadline day following the drama around Alexander Isak.

They’ve revived their interest in the last few months and been pushing towards a deal. In fact, it was reported recently that they already had a full agreement in place with the striker.

Newcastle have proved difficult, though. In fact, it was reported yesterday that they were slowing things down and putting a pause on the potential January deal.

BILD now seemingly back that up. According to them, Frankfurt are waiting for Newcastle to give them the green light to get their man.
