Port Vale are keen on signing Sunderland’s Blondy Nna Noukeu in the winter market.
That’s at least what Africa Foot are reporting, and they cover the latest on Port Vale and Sunderland plans for the goalkeeper.
Port Vale are said to be ‘very interested’ in taking him on loan in January. Sunderland’s current position on Noukeu should come as encouragement for the League One side.
The Black Cats signed the stopper on a free transfer in August 2024. They gave him a contract until 2026, with an option for another year.
Noukeu hasn’t made his debut for the Premier League side’s senior team and has has to settle for minutes with their reserve team. This coupled with his contract situation has seen Sunderland decide to take action.
It’s claimed Régis Le Bris’ side are ‘actively seeking’ an opportunity to offload him in the next window. This would be beneficial for both parties.
Port Vale are looking for a loan transfer and Africa Foot don’t specify whether Noukeu or Sunderland are in favour of doing business on that basis.
