Having seen Bafétimbi Gomis and Juan Mata leave as free agents, Galatasaray have now set their sights on West Ham United’s Michail Antonio to bolster their attack.
The Turkish club have already taken steps to sign the 33-year-old in the summer window.
That’s according to Fanatik, who say Galatasaray vice-president, Erden Timur has made a trip to London, where he will ‘sit at the table’ with West Ham to negotiate a deal for the forward.
It’s stated the Istanbul club want to seal a deal for Antonio ‘as soon as possible’ so that he can be at Okan Buruk’s disposal for the Champions League qualifiers later this month.
The Jamaica international has a year left on his contract, with an option to extend it for a further year. The report adds David Moyes’ side want €7m to sanction his sale.
Fanatik say Timur will use the player’s desire to join Galatasaray as leverage to try and reduce the fee, and they’ll do that during the meeting with West Ham in London.
Antonio scored 14 goals and registered five assists last season and was part of the West Ham squad that won the Europa Conference League.
