Real Betis have urged Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca to remain calm over a lack of progress on his transfer to the club.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo journalist Aitor Torvisco, who says the Spanish club are working to keep the Spaniard calm over a lack of movement.
Roca appears to be on his way out of Elland Road this summer following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship, with recent reports explaining that he has a clause allowing him to leave on loan.
Betis are keen to sign him as a replacement for William Carvalho, who has an offer to move to Saudi Arabia and looks destined to leave the Spanish club.
That deal is yet to be completed, though, and thus Roca and other players that Betis have targeted as incomings have been left in limbo until it is.
That delay, it seems, is causing ‘considerable concern’ for the Leeds man and other potential recruits, something it seems Betis are working to soothe.
“I don’t know what is happening with Carvalho,” he told Estadio Deportivo’s La Prórroga de ESTADIO Deportivo.
“What I do know is what they say from the other side, the part of those players who have already closed pre-agreements with Betis and who are waiting in the inbox, such as Héctor Bellerín, Ayoze Pérez and Marc Roca.
“To these three players, Betis is transmitting calm. They are calm and tell them that the William Carvalho deal is going to be done and that when it is done, they will be able to close the deal for them.”
