Earlier on Friday, we covered reports from Brazil which said Corinthians turned down Chelsea’s bid for Gabriel Moscardo.
The Blues recently presented a €21m + €4m offer for the midfielder, and that wasn’t enough to convince the Timão of a sale.
As UOL now shares a new story on this chase, they claim that Corinthians have now set a price for Moscardo’s departure.
They’re said to be demanding ‘at least €30m’ for the transfer, and the ‘conversations are still ongoing’.
There’s no hurry for this transfer to be done, as Moscardo only turns 18 after this month, and wouldn’t be able to move to Chelsea today.
Also, UOL claims that the conversations between the clubs are for the player to only join the Blues’ squad in the next summer.
Journalist Bruno Andrade, who wrote the story, also makes some interesting claims on Twitter. There, he says that he wouldn’t be ‘surprised’ if the negotiation ends up being done for €25m.
So Chelsea may be offering €25m for the whole package, and maybe if they promise all that amount at once, they may end up finding a deal on lower terms.
