One of the many players signed by Watford and then loaned around to various clubs, Adalberto Peñaranda is attracting interest from abroad despite featuring only twice for the club last season after finally getting a work permit in late 2018.
Loaned to Granada, Udinese and Malaga since joining in February 2016 for £9.5m, the 22-year-old has yet to fully break through at Vicarage Road, and Gino Pozzo could be ready to cash in if the right offer comes along.
At least, that is what France Football are reporting, as OGC Nice in Ligue 1 have ‘targeted’ the Venezuela international, but Watford’s demands for the young striker stand at €20m, a fee considered a ‘colossal investment’ for the French club.
This has led to talks regarding a loan taking place instead, but France Football state time is of the essence as the Hornets are planning to offer the player to ‘top level clubs’ in the next few days.
Perhaps the player just hasn’t convinced Javi Gracia in training, and Watford see the opportunity for a quick profit.
