Valencia are eyeing a ‘surprise’ move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pablo Sarabia this summer as they look to bolster their squad.
That’s according to Fichajes, who say he is one of two names ‘that sound strong’ for the Spanish side in the coming transfer window.
They explain that, despite signing for Wolves in January and signing a contract until 2025 when he did so, there is a belief that Sarabia could be lured away from Molineux.
He arrived as an ‘important player’ but has lost his prominence in the side in recent weeks, sitting on the bench for the wins over Crystal Palace and Aston Villa and the defeat to Brighton.
They see the 30-year-old as a player with great technical quality and an ability to unbalance opposition defences one on one, to aspects they want to add to their squad.
Whether Wolves will sanction a deal remains to be seen, though, particularly as the Spaniard only joined them in the January transfer window.
The belief is that there is a deal there to be done because he hasn’t featured of late, but before that he had been a regular under Lopetegui, albeit from the bench.
That would suggest he remains a part of the plans, although Valencia are seemingly willing to test that idea.
