Fotospor report Trabzonspor are considering making a move for Stoke City’s Oghenekaro Etebo in this transfer window.

The Turkish club are currently second in the league but due to a shortage of midfielders they will target the Stoke City player.

Trabzonspor sold Juraj Kucka to Parma this month and are eager to bring in someone to ease the burden on Jose Sosa, with Etebo seemingly an option for the Super Lig side.

Ogenyi Onazi has also been sidelined until the end of the season due to an Achilles injury.

According to Fotospor, Trabzonspor could make a loan offer to take the Stoke City midfielder until the end of the season but the Turkish side first need a reprieve from their transfer ban.

Etebo joined Stoke from Feirense last summer for €7.2m  and the Nigerian midfielder has made 17 appearances for the Potters this season.

The player is under contract with the English club until 2023.
