Brazilian side Corinthians have moved on with their pursuit for Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani, according to the latest reports.

There are now two sources claiming that the Timão placed an offer to have the 34-year-old.

The information was first brought by outlet Central do Timão. They claim that Corinthians are in direct contact with Cavani’s brother, Walter Guiglielmone, and are putting on the table something bigger than Barcelona. However, it’s claimed that the striker is only answering in January.

Meanwhile, journalist Samir Carvalho, who worked at UOL for a long time, confirms on his Youtube channel that the Brazilian side made a personal offer for the player.

Carvalho claims to be very honest about it when saying he doesn’t know how much Corinthians are offering. He says the club are being very careful in not leaking information in this chase, and that’s why most claims on Cavani’s future are coming from Europe.

The Uruguayan has a contract with Manchester United running until the end of the season, so regardless of a potential agreement with any club, he’d need to get his release from the Red Devils for a January move.
