Fulham are yet to progress a deal for midfielder André, despite reports that they are closing in on the Brazilian.
That’s according to Netflu, relaying information from journalist Victor Lessa, who insists there has been no movement on the matter.
Fulham appear to have reignited their interest in André this summer after selling Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich, seeing the highly rated midfielder as the ideal replacement for the Portuguese international.
They were interested last year but never got a deal over the line, with the youngster instead electing to remain in Brazil for another year despite the Premier League interest in him.
They’re now back and a report this week had indicated that negotiations were going well, and Fulham could be about to get their man.
Lessa is having none of that, though, and reports the situation has not moved in any direction after Fulham’s initial bid.
According to him Marco Silva’s sent a proposal to Fluminense, they Brazilian side analysed it, presented a counterproposal and are still waiting for a response to that from Fulham. The values offered in either part were not disclosed but he does have a €40m termination clause in his current contract.
The figure is presumably below that otherwise Fulham would simply offer that and push this along rather than being in the limbo they currently are.
