Turkish side Fenerbahçe has ‘started official contacts’ with Tottenham to sign Tanguy Ndombele this summer.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who says officials are already in England to negotiate the potential deal between the two clubs.
Ndombele has returned to Tottenham this summer following a loan move at Napoli last season, with the Italian side not making an effort to sign him permanently after a disappointing campaign for the Frenchman in Serie A.
He does not appear to be a part of Tottenham’s plans moving forwards, despite Ange Postecoglou seemingly being willing to give any players he’s inherited a second chance to impress.
The midfielder has been linked with a move all over Europe while there are also clubs in Turkey keen on potentially getting him.
Yağız Sabuncuoğlu says Fenerbahce are one of them and have now started official contacts with their counterparts at Tottenham to begin negotiations over a transfer.
According to his information, members of their staff are already in England to negotiate a transfer for the Frenchman.
Whether those talks are over a loan deal, or a permanent transfer isn’t mentioned, although given the general reluctance from Turkish sides to spend their own money it’s likely the former.
Either way, talks are underway and Fenerbahce are keen, meaning Ndombele is a name to keep a close eye on in the coming weeks.
