Unable to take to the pitch since the start of the campaign with a knee injury, Trevoh Chalobah is now back and healthy, awaiting his call-up by Mauricio Pochettino.
However, the fact he is now able to play football again has also caught the attention of a few clubs, such as AC Milan, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.
The Serie A side are said to be in a ‘sprint’ to sign a defender before the end of the transfer window, and the Chelsea man is high on their list.
The believe is that it will be ’ten intensive days’ to find a defender, as they are currently struggling to keep them fit, leaving them short at the back.
That’s why they are considering a move similar to the one they pulled of for Fikayo Tomori, also at Chelsea at the time, and coming forward for Chalobah is ‘much more than a hypothesis’.
Milan are said to be ‘studying the situation’ and ‘may come to London’ with an offer of a loan with an option to buy in their briefcase.
They recall how fruitful the deal for Tomori was at the time for the Italians, and a ‘similar scenario’ could be in store for the Chelsea defender, who is in ‘search of a revival’.
