Valencia are ‘speeding up’ their efforts to sign Sergi Canos as the fear losing out on the player to Anderlecht.
That’s according to Plaza Deportiva who say the Spaniard wants the Bees to ‘give in’ to Valencia’s demands and let him join his dream club.
The outlet explains that Valencia are continuing to play the game around Canos so they can sign him in ‘the best economic conditions’ possible for them.
They are aware that Canos has Valencia ‘as his favourite’ and, despite there being offers from elsewhere, is delaying the matter for Brentford ‘give in’ and allow him to make the move to the Mestalla.
Valencia are ‘speeding up’ their efforts to make a deal happen, looking to take advantage of the fact the player wants them above all else.
At this moment in time Brentford are continuing to ask for the payment of a ‘small amount’ to sanction the deal but Valencia don’t want to pay and are instead waiting for the Premier League side to lower their demands.
Getting Canos on a free seems difficult after Brentford activating a year extension in his contract this summer, but have been proposing a deal that would leave ‘some percentage of a future sale’ in the Bees’ hands.
Brentford are yet to sanction this and are exploring other options such as Anderlecht but Canos’ desire for the move is stopping an agreement with any other club.
