Philippe Coutinho has very much been the star of Tuesday’s transfer rumours.
Despite the window closing at 5pm on Thursday, it hasn’t been a crazy day in the market, with lots of deals drifting away.
For Tottenham that’s seen Giovani Lo Celso looking less likely, with no real updates from Spain about Spurs making new efforts. The same can be said for Bruno Fernandes, and with Betis and Sporting holding firm with their valuations of the players, nothing is budging right now.
Catalan radio station RAC1 were the first with the claims of a potential move to Tottenham, and now they have an update.
It’s explained Barcelona sources have said much progress is being made on the transfer, and negotiations are ongoing with Tottenham.
There are two more, unnamed, interested clubs from the Premier League, yet it’s Spurs who are having the optimism built for them. Given there’s not so long left in the market, RAC1 say this could be complicated to complete, however, they also suggest a loan to Pochettino’s side is very possible this week.
