Torino could soon match West Ham United’s demands for Nikola Vlasic, if they sell Perr Schuurs as expected this summer.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say that any money brought in from the sale of Schuurs could be reinvested in a permanent deal for Vlasic.
The Croatian spent last season on loan with the Italian side and proved to be a massive hit and they’ve been working on a deal to sign him permanently ever since.
They allowed a clause to do so expire in the hope that they could negotiate a lower price with West Ham, something that they have so far been unable to achieve.
The Hammers have been sticking to an asking price that Torino don’t want or cannot pay this summer, leaving the midfielder in limbo waiting for a resolution.
Tuttosport pick up on that and say it would be easier for Torino to make their move once they’ve sold Schuurs in a big money move.
When that goes through there would be ‘resources’, and an ‘abundance’ of them at that, so they could move for Vlasic.
If West Ham refuse to move from their current request for €13m and if manager Ivan Juric continues to insist the player be signed, then Torino are likely to use their new funds to make the deal happen.
They’d prefer not to, of course, but the transfer is entirely dependent on Schuurs’ departure putting money into their coffers first.
