It’s been a long time since the Italian media started reporting that Napoli are interested in signing André Zambo Anguissa from Fulham on a permanent deal.

The Serie A side, however, don’t seem to be willing to trigger the buying option, which stands at €15m.

An update from Tutto Mercato Web today claims there are ‘no doubts’ that Napoli will try to buy the midfielder, but to do that, they’ll first ask Fulham for a discount.

It’s said the management of the Serie A club will soon get in touch with the Cottagers to negotiate that price, perhaps offering a counter-part in the deal.

Napoli are said to be pretty convinced of securing the transfer, because according to Tutto Mercato Web, even if Fulham do not grant a discount, the club could still go ‘all in’ for the transfer.

Anguissa was loaned by the London side in the summer of 2021, and his 21 appearances for the Italian club were more than enough to convince them of going for the permanent deal.
