As Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport today writes about Napoli’s chase for Giovani Lo Celso, they make it sound like the desire to get the Tottenham Hotspur player is huge.
It’s claimed that the midfielder could bring ‘what is needed’ at the Serie A champions, and that’s why they’re set to try a big effort to get him signed.
The newspaper recalls that Napoli had already tried to land Lo Celso a year ago, when they ended up going for Tanguy Ndombele.
This time, there’s more hope that Spurs would be convinced to let the Argentine move on a paid loan.
It’s acknowledged that this would be a difficult negotiation, with a long ‘tug of war’. But Napoli’s wish for the signing remains strong and they’d take him on the ‘next plane from London’.
Corriere Dello Sport send a lot of praise to Lo Celso, and it’s clear the player is highly rated in Italy.
Napoli will need to make a big effort in the talks with Tottenham to have any chance at all.
It hasn’t been ruled out that Lo Celso has a future at Spurs, which makes things even more difficult.
