Fulham may soon have to take a decision regarding the future of Kevin Mbabu.
Even though the player is loaned to Augsburg until the end of the season, reports from the Dutch media now claim that Feyenoord are interested in signing him in the coming days.
Outlet 1098 writes that the Eredivisie side have already initiated talks for the move, even though they need to convince Fulham, the Bundesliga club and the player himself.
Feyenoord are said to be currently ‘investigating the possibilities’ of breaking Mbabu’s loan at Augsburg. For that to happen, the German club would receive compensation.
The Dutch side would then loan the player from Fulham, in a deal which would include a buying option at the end of the season.
That may end up as a good deal for the Craven Cottage side, at least in case they believe there’s a bigger chance that Feyenoord will end up buying the player.
Out of Fulham’s plans, Mbabu still has a contract with the club until 2025. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €3.5m.
