Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic is a potential target for Como as they prepare for life in Serie A next season.
That’s according to Toro News, who report that Fulham haven’t completely ruled out the possibility of letting the Serbian midfielder depart in the coming months.
They report that Cesc Fabregas’ team have ‘set its sights’ on the Fulham man and would like to bring him back to Italy if they can.
Lukic is currently preparing for Euro 2024 with Serbia, having earned a call-up despite a disappointing season at Fulham in which he was unable to find a starting role under Marco Silva.
He has struggled at Craven Cottage since arriving from Torino in January 2023 and so is not considered untransferable at this point.
Como are aware of this and have set their sights on the 27-year-od as they look to strengthen ahead of life back in Serie A next season.
A transfer is not being ruled out at this point, although there is no mention of what price Fulham may demand for the midfielder, who cost them €9.7m when he joined.
They have no reason to accept a low fee as he’s tied to a deal until 2027 that also includes an option for an extra year, so it will be up to Como to find a solution.
