Even though it seemed like Fabiinho would leave Liverpool to join Al-Ittihad this summer, perhaps the midfielder could still end up somewhere else.
Sky Deutschland now writes that Bayern Munich have set up a ‘secret plan’ to sign the 29-year-old.
It’s said the Bundesliga giants have the Liverpool player on their list as they monitor his situation during the transfer window.
The problem is obviously the advanced negotiation with Al-Ittihad. It’s claimed that he’s on the verge of completing the move, with the Reds willing to complete the operation this weekend.
In case that deal collapses, and according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, ‘it can happen’, then Bayern Munich would get in touch for the signing.
It’s said Fabinho isn’t a ‘top target’ for the German club, but if he doesn’t move to Saudi Arabia, they’d be interested.
On Twitter, Plettenberg adds that Bayern Munich have ‘top relations’ with the player’s agent Jorge Mendes.
Fabinho reportedly ‘fits into the profile’ the club wants, since he has the physical attributes wanted by club manager Thomas Tuchel.
So this should be a very interesting weekend for Fabinho and even for Liverpool, who could see what Bayern have to offer.
