Barcelona’s chase for Manchester City star Bernardo Silva may go a little quiet sometimes, but we should never forget how strong the interest is.
That’s why the story is back with full force today, as Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo brings a piece saying the Camp Nou side will try for the signing again.
The report says there’s a strong wish from Xavi to get the player, and with the manager ‘insisting’ on it, the Manchester City star is their ‘priority number one’.
Bernardo Silva is said to be ‘dreaming’ about a move to Barça, with ‘sources from the changing room’ saying he’s ‘crazy’ to join the club.
There are a couple of issues to get that deal done, though. One of them is Pep Guardiola, who’s a big fan of the Portuguese midfielder.
The other problem is obviously Barcelona affording the transfer. It’s said the best formula would be a loan with an obligatory buying clause, although it’s not very clear whether Manchester City will be on board with that.
Either way, the Camp Nou side are set to try again.
