With Bayern Munich struggling to find a deal with Fulham for João Palhinha’s transfer, the German media starts to admit there’s a chance that an agreement never happens.
Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg today shows up with an update on the negotiations. He claims the Bundesliga side are ‘still determined’ to sign the midfielder, but not at any cost.
It’s claimed that Bayern have set ‘clear limits’ in the talks with Fulham, and will not just pay ‘any price’ requested by the Craven Cottage side.
Still, the negotiations are moving on. It’s said that in the past 72 hours, the German side improved their offer, now standing at between €41m and €45m.
Palhinha himself is ‘waiting for the green light’ to complete his much desired move. He’d sign a contract until 2028.
It seems clear that Fulham are still being tough in the talks, requesting over €70m for the transfer, so there’s still a big gap for that to be done.
With Bayern Munich this time starting negotiations at the start of the market, there’s plenty of time for them to find common ground.
