Newcastle United will need €30-35m if they wish to sign Malick Thiaw from AC Milan this summer.
That’s according to SOS Fanta and their journalist Matteo Moretto, who reports that Milan have set an asking price on the defender as Newcastle have moved recently to try and get him.
Reports throughout this week have linked Newcastle with a move for Thiaw, with it believed Eddie Howe is determined to add a central defender and partner for Sven Botman to his squad this summer.
It was first explained earlier this week that Newcastle had initiated contact over the defender before it was then explained they were looking at him because they liked his footballing abilities but also his personality.
A report today then explained that his agents had been made aware of the interest and Milan were open to a deal.
SOS Fanta now follow that up and say Milan have set an asking price of €30-35m on the defender if he is to leave this summer.
They explain that Thiaw is very much in Newcastle’s sights, and they plan to start moving for the defender from July 1st, when PSR and FFP issue will no longer be a problem.
Milan are willing to listen to offers and have set their asking price at around €30-35m, and it remains to be seen if Newcastle will offer that figure.
