Torino ‘seem ready to make an important sacrifice’ to sign Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet this summer.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say the Italian side could ‘return to the charge’ for his signature.

Praet spent last season on loan with Torino, establishing himself as a key player and making 24 appearances in all competitions.

They’re keen to get him back for this season, and talks have been underway with Leicester for several weeks without any progress being made.

Indeed, such was their reluctance to pay for Praet, other clubs, namely Fiorentina, had entered the bidding in an attempt to sign him themselves.

Several reports had pushed Torino into the background, but Corriere insist they are still in the picture, trying to get a deal over the line.

They cover Fiorentina’s efforts to get a deal over the line but say the situation around Praet is ‘entangled’ as Leicester are unlikely to accept their €7m proposal.

That’s given Torino the chance to get their man, and the newspaper say they ‘seem to be returning to the charge’ for the Belgian.

More importantly, they also ‘seem willing to make an important sacrifice’ to get him, so much so that Fiorentina are looking at other options to improve their midfield.
